"A world of learners where students gain a passport to the world"

ESTD - 2009

Shikhshaneer "Science and Commerce Department"  has been a pillar of excellence since 2007. The Founder and Principal, Mr. Arkajit Dasgupta, single-handedly set up this educational institute with the aim of providing education to students in the science stream.

Shikhshaneer tries to leap out of the box with its ability to deal with students. The students of Shikhshaneer are placed into a competitive environment where a child is given exposure to the syllabi and education of different existing boards in Kolkata, West Bengal; they are given a chance to self analyze themselves, at the same time as learning from their text books. Individual attention is given to each one of the students and the teacher tries to reach to the bottom of their misconceptions regarding a subject and solves it. Weekly written assessments are a mandate for the students which are arranged, on the day which is chosen respectively for a given batch, on the basis of whole weeks' lectures. Each student is driven towards aiming high and are expected to achieve good scores. Individual development is monitored on a weekly basis. Prizes are distributed among the students who stand in the merit list in order to praise their efforts and motivate them towards success.

Shikhshaneer not only helps the students to learn better and see the possibilities within themselves, but also promotes talents or hobbies by organizing cultural programs annually, all the students participate along with the ex students, the seniors guide their juniors in studies and also in a particular hobby, Shikhshaneer is not just an institute but a family where we also take care of the emotional highs and lows of a child by interacting on a personal level.

It is a parents' right to know about the progress of their child, so Mr. Arkajit Dasgupta, the esteemed teacher and founder of the institute personally interacts with the parents and briefs them about their educational as well as personal growth.
